Savonarola Stool

Admired for decades by the design community, we acquired Formations to bring the finest quality and craftsmanship to the world. Our antique reproduction is informed by the classical Savonarola chair silhouette of the Italian Renaissance, distilling the ornate design into a singular architectural statement. Interlocking slats of solid poplar wood form a sculptural X-shaped frame crowned by scrolled arms and detailed with repeating carved geometric decorative bands at the base. A richly distressed finish reveals the wood's character and evokes the patina of age.
