These woven platters are used to transfer injera, a flatbread that is a staple of traditional Ethiopian cuisine, from oven to table. As authentic found pieces, handwoven from palm leaves, straw and raffia, they've been the center of daily meals, acquiring a warm patina from time and use, and – in some cases – evidence of careful mending.
