In 1940s France, the swooping curves of Art Moderne were combined with flourishes from centuries past to forge a distinctively regal style. Case in point: the vintage club chair that inspired our design. Though its dramatic scrolled arms and deep seat are quintessential late-Deco, it borrows its signature sculpted top-rail from Rococo furnishings of late18th-century France.
