Plaque of the Ergastines Sculpture Fragment
Discovered at the foot of the Parthenon in 1784 and conserved in the Louvre, the Plaque of the Ergastines is a segment of the 525-foot-long frieze that wrapped the temple's colonnade. Our meticulous reproduction captures a fragment of this iconic work of Classical Greek art, in which priests greet the young women who have crafted the pelos, a sacred garment for Athena.
