Wreathed with figures from ancient Greek mythology, our footed urn is a reproduction of the Medici Vase, sculpted in Athens in the 1st century AD. The original, a massive marble vessel meant for diluting wine with water, has graced the Uffizi Gallery in Florence since 1780, when it was transferred from the Villa Medici in Rome.
