The scallop shell has influenced design since antiquity, surfacing along the way as a religious symbol, an element of European heraldry and an enduring icon of Venus (think Botticelli). We borrowed the shell's signature ridges to create our sculptural lighting, its white linen shade bringing the classical shape up to date.
