Our kitchen island replaces the bins with glass-fronted drawers, but retains the salvaged pine's visible knots, cracks and nicks. Distressed as only age and the elements can impart, the rough-hewn planks are carefully hand-selected, planed and lightly sanded yet otherwise left untouched.
