An interior designer, Julie Lawrence spent several years working in Europe where she developed an appreciation for art, architecture and furniture that become more beautiful with age. Known for creating intriguing juxtapositions, she deftly contrasts smooth, sophisticated surfaces with those that are patinaed, the rustic with the refined, the classic with the cool. Inspired by the sculptural works of Salvador Dalí and Diego Giacometti, Thaddeus merges the organic texture of hand-forged solid brass with Italian Carrara marble on a slender, tapered silhouette.
